About this role
Our client is seeking a Senior Platform & Site Reliability Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This remote role involves full architectural and operational ownership of the platform layer across a growing SaaS portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the infrastructure while implementing best practices in cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own AWS infrastructure standards including VPCs, account structures, networking, and compute design.
- Manage the CI/CD platform and ensure efficient deployment pipelines.
- Oversee the observability and reliability stack to maintain high service availability.
- Design and implement event streaming infrastructure to support application needs.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance platform performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
- Expertise in observability tools and reliability engineering principles.
- Familiarity with event streaming technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in platform engineering or site reliability roles, with a focus on cloud environments.
