About this role
Our client is seeking an experienced APR DRG Medical Coder to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient coding and a proven track record of accuracy and productivity in coding practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform APR DRG coding for inpatient records with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulations.
- Utilize ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Maintain coding productivity standards while ensuring high-quality output.
- Stay updated with the latest coding practices and changes in regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of inpatient/APR DRG coding experience.
- CCS (AHIMA) or CIC (AAPC) certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and APR DRG coding guidelines.
- Experience with Epic and 3M coding systems is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Experience: 6-8 years.
