Software Tester / QA Engineer – Video & AI Systems

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Tester / QA Engineer to validate real-time video, AI detection overlays, maps, alerts, and end-to-end workflows for an integrated surveillance and command system.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional, regression, negative, and soak testing across complex web applications and backend systems, preferably involving real-time video, AI, or multi-sensor products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute release test plans across edge agents, central systems, and browser-based operator applications.
• Validate multi-feed EO/IR video, synchronization, AI overlays, confidence thresholds, object tracking, and video playback/replay.
• Perform negative testing for network failures, camera connectivity issues, WebRTC reconnection, GPU overload, and AI engine failures.
• Maintain test scenarios and golden video clip suites to validate changes in AI models and sensor-fusion configurations.
• Perform REST API testing and validate web interfaces, including live video, maps, alerts, reports, settings, and login functionality.
• Conduct regression, exploratory, and soak testing under realistic network and GPU workloads.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, logs, screenshots, and video evidence.
• Retest bug fixes and prepare test evidence for certification activities.
• Support on-site acceptance testing, system integration, and operator walkthroughs.
• Troubleshoot issues across desktop GPU systems, NVIDIA Jetson devices, browsers, networks, and different sensor configurations.
• Collaborate with software engineers, AI engineers, and field operators to ensure system reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Bachelor's degree in B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in functional, regression, exploratory, negative, and soak testing.
• Experience in REST API testing using Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools.
• Experience testing complex web applications and validating React-based user interfaces.
• Knowledge of real-time video systems, AI detection overlays, object tracking, timestamps, and confidence thresholds.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools, Git, and screen/video capture tools.
• Ability to design test scenarios, maintain regression suites, and produce detailed defect reports.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and collaborate with engineering teams during integration and acceptance testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing video surveillance, AI/ML products, real-time systems, or multi-sensor applications.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Vitest.
• Experience with edge devices, GPU-based applications, or NVIDIA Jetson platforms.
• Knowledge of WebRTC, UDP networking, latency measurement, and geospatial interfaces.
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
