Oracle Fusion GL Tester

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion GL Tester to join a consulting team working on Oracle

Fusion Financials implementations. The role involves end-to-end testing of General Ledger functionality,

validating financial data through SQL, and ensuring that releases meet business and quality standards. The

ideal candidate will have 7 to 8 years of software testing experience with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle

Fusion GL, and will collaborate closely with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver high-quality

Oracle Fusion Financials solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements and functional specs for Oracle Fusion GL and related Financials

modules

• Create test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on requirements
• Run functional, integration, regression, and UAT support testing
• Write SQL queries to validate data, reconcile balances, and check backend results
• Log, track, and retest defects, and work with functional and technical teams to fix them
• Follow STLC processes and keep test documentation and reports up to date

Required Skills:

• 7 to 8 years of experience in software testing
• Strong hands-on testing of Oracle Fusion GL
• Good knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials (GL setups, journals, period close, chart of accounts,

ledgers)

• Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing
• Solid understanding of STLC and testing types (functional, integration, regression, UAT)
• Experience with test case design, defect tracking, and test reporting
• Good communication skills for working with clients and functional consultants

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Exposure to other Fusion Financials modules such as AP, AR, FA, or Cash Management
• Experience with test management and defect tools like JIRA, ALM, or Zephyr
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, FRS)
• Exposure to test automation for Oracle apps (Selenium, Opkey, or similar)
• Understanding of accounting basics and the financial close process
• Experience on Oracle Fusion implementation or upgrade projects in a consulting setup
