**Job Title:** .NET Developer (Contract)
Skilrock Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a hands-on .NET Developer to join on a short-term contract. The role involves building, enhancing, and maintaining web applications and APIs using C# and .NET Core, working closely with the project team to deliver clean, tested, and well-documented code within agreed timelines.
**2. Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+ and ASP.NET MVC / Web API.
- Build and optimise data access layers using Entity Framework and SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures and indexes.
- Deliver assigned modules and features within sprint timelines, with progress updates at each daily or weekly review.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code that follows team coding standards.
- Write unit tests for new code and fix defects within agreed turnaround times.
- Integrate third-party services and internal systems through secure REST APIs.
- Review existing code, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement measurable improvements.
- Use Git for version control, raise pull requests, and take part in code reviews.
- Collaborate with QA, UI and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues quickly.
- Hand over documentation and knowledge for all delivered work before the contract ends.
**3. Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in .NET development.
- Strong command of C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+ and ASP.NET MVC / Web API.
- Working knowledge of Entity Framework and SQL Server (queries, joins, stored procedures).
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Git and standard version-control workflows.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
**4. Good-to-Have Skills**
- Experience with Azure (App Service, Functions, DevOps) or another cloud platform.
- Front-end exposure to Angular or React.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Agile / Scrum practices.
- Experience with unit-testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
