Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled **Full-Stack Engineer** with strong expertise in Android development, backend engineering, real-time communication protocols, and modern web technologies.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience designing, developing, debugging, and deploying production-grade applications involving persistent connections, real-time data exchange, media processing, and distributed system components.

This role requires an engineer who can independently work across multiple technology layers, understand complex application architectures, resolve challenging technical issues, and deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong hands-on experience in **Kotlin, Node.js, TypeScript, WebRTC, WebSockets, React, and real-time communication infrastructure.**

Key Responsibilities

1. Android Application Engineering (Kotlin)

  • Develop and maintain robust Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android SDK architecture.
  • Implement foreground services, persistent connections, background processing, and automatic reconnection mechanisms.
  • Work with Android system APIs, including Camera2, MediaProjection, AudioRecord, and related media frameworks.
  • Develop efficient audio/video capture, processing, and streaming workflows.
  • Integrate WebRTC and relevant real-time communication SDKs.
  • Implement secure local data storage, encrypted configuration management, and token-based authentication.
  • Design and maintain runtime permission management and lifecycle-aware components.
  • Ensure compatibility across Android API levels 26–35.
  • Optimize application performance, memory utilization, battery consumption, and network reliability.
  • Troubleshoot Android-specific lifecycle restrictions, background execution limitations, and device compatibility issues.

2. Backend Engineering (Node.js / TypeScript)

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Build real-time communication infrastructure using WebSocket protocols.
  • Develop REST APIs, authentication services, session management, and secure communication mechanisms.
  • Implement WebRTC media infrastructure using SFU technologies such as mediasoup.
  • Configure and maintain STUN/TURN connectivity and network traversal mechanisms.
  • Implement JWT authentication, HMAC-based request validation, and API security.
  • Develop database persistence and operational state management using SQLite.
  • Implement request validation using Zod and structured application logging using Pino.
  • Build reliable reconnection, session recovery, error-handling, and graceful shutdown mechanisms.
  • Optimize server performance, concurrency, resource utilization, and network communication.

3. Frontend Engineering (React / TypeScript)

  • Develop responsive, production-ready web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Build real-time dashboards with live status updates and event-driven UI components.
  • Integrate WebRTC client technologies, including mediasoup-client and LiveKit Client SDK.
  • Implement WebSocket-based communication and real-time application state management.
  • Develop media playback interfaces and browser-based communication components.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and maintainable frontend architecture.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and real-time communication workflows.

4. DevOps, Infrastructure & Production Engineering

  • Containerize applications and services using Docker and Docker Compose.
  • Configure Linux-based production environments and deployment infrastructure.
  • Work with reverse proxies such as Caddy and configure HTTPS/WSS termination.
  • Deploy and maintain TURN/STUN infrastructure.
  • Manage environment configurations, credentials, and production secrets securely.
  • Implement health checks, application monitoring, structured logging, and deployment validation.
  • Troubleshoot production build failures, networking issues, connectivity problems, and service availability.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production-readiness activities.

5. Code Quality, Security & Technical Delivery

  • Conduct code reviews, refactoring, debugging, and technical documentation.
  • Identify and resolve architectural, performance, and security issues.
  • Follow OWASP security principles and secure software development practices.
  • Implement reliable error handling, input validation, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Write maintainable, modular, testable, and production-ready code.
  • Perform integration testing and end-to-end validation across application layers.
  • Take ownership of technical deliverables and ensure successful deployment.
