About the Role

ScholarHat is looking for an experienced Python and AI/ML Trainer, Data Scientist or AI Engineer to develop and record high-quality technical video courses for our online learning programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python programming, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI application development, along with the ability to explain complex technical concepts through structured lessons, live coding demonstrations and practical projects.

Candidates with experience in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-powered application development will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and record structured video lessons covering Python programming and AI/ML concepts.
• Explain programming fundamentals, data structures, functions, OOP, exception handling and reusable coding practices.
• Demonstrate data manipulation and visualization using NumPy, Pandas and Matplotlib.
• Teach core Machine Learning concepts, algorithms, model training and evaluation through practical examples.
• Develop hands-on coding exercises, Jupyter notebooks, assignments and project-based learning content.
• Explain Deep Learning concepts and demonstrate model development using frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
• Where required, cover Generative AI fundamentals, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Demonstrate practical AI application development using relevant Python frameworks, APIs and deployment tools.
• Create industry-relevant projects that help learners connect theoretical knowledge with practical implementation.
• Ensure technical accuracy, clear presentation, logical lesson progression and high-quality recording standards.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions or re-recordings as agreed with the ScholarHat team.

Technical Skills Required

**Core Skills**

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Object-oriented programming, data structures, functions, modules and exception handling.
• NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib and Jupyter Notebook.
• Data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
• Machine Learning algorithms, including regression, classification and clustering.
• Model training, validation, evaluation and performance optimization.
• SQL and working with structured datasets.
• Git/GitHub and standard Python development tools.

**Advanced Skills**

• Deep Learning, neural networks and model development using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) and/or Computer Vision.
• Scikit-learn and end-to-end Machine Learning workflows.
• Building and deploying AI/ML applications using FastAPI, Flask or Streamlit.
• Model serving, APIs, deployment and basic MLOps practices.

**Preferred: Generative AI and LLM Development**

• LLM fundamentals and prompt engineering.
• OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini or comparable model APIs.
• LangChain, LangGraph or LlamaIndex.
• Embeddings, vector databases and RAG pipelines.
• AI agents, tool calling and workflow orchestration.
• Deployment and evaluation of LLM-powered applications.

Experience and Eligibility

• 5–8+ years of relevant professional experience in Python development, Data Science, Machine Learning or AI engineering is preferred, depending on the course specialization.
• Strong hands-on experience building practical applications, data workflows or machine learning models.
• Prior experience as a Python Developer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, Technical Lead or AI/ML Architect.
• Experience in technical training, mentoring, online teaching or recorded course creation is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Ability to prepare clean code examples, project files and supporting learning materials.
• Access to a suitable recording setup, stable internet connection and a working Python development environment.

Engagement Details

• Freelance, project-based engagement focused on recording educational video content.
• Remote collaboration with the ScholarHat team.
• Course scope, recording schedule, deliverables and commercial terms will be agreed upon before commencement.
• The engagement may include recorded lectures, coding demonstrations, notebooks, assignments and project resources.
